Cookie Policy

Last revised: 14 March 2026

This page explains what cookies and similar technologies gardenlink.my uses, why, and how you stay in control. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember something between pages or visits — a login, a language choice, or in our case, mostly just your cookie preferences themselves. Similar technologies such as localStorage work the same way; we use the word "cookies" for all of them here.

2. What we actually use

This site is intentionally quiet. The full list:

Essential (always on)

  • PHP session cookie — protects the contact form against forged submissions. Deleted when you close your browser.
  • gl_privacy (localStorage) — records the cookie choices you make in our consent banner, so we do not ask you on every visit. Kept until you clear it.

Analytics (only with your consent)

  • If you accept analytics cookies, we may enable privacy-respecting page-view measurement to understand which pages help visitors. These measurements are aggregated and are not used to identify you.

Marketing (only with your consent)

  • If you accept marketing cookies, occasional campaign pixels may measure whether our own advertising brought you here. We run these rarely; rejecting them changes nothing about how the site works.

There are no third-party social widgets, no embedded trackers, and nothing loads before you have made a choice.

3. Making and changing your choice

On your first visit, a small card in the corner of the screen offers Accept, Reject and Preferences. Nothing optional runs until you decide. To change your mind later, select the round leaf button in the bottom-right corner of any page — your current settings appear and can be edited in two taps.

4. Browser controls

Every modern browser lets you view, block or delete cookies for any site under its privacy settings. Blocking our essential session cookie will prevent the contact form from submitting; everything else on the site will continue to work.

5. Questions

Anything unclear, or a cookie you cannot account for? Write to [email protected] and our technical director will answer personally.
